Nike has done a tremendous job over the past year in releasing cleats explicitly made for ladies. It all started with the women world cup pack that was available in different color combination for women and women’s size. The new Nike Women’s Hypervenom Phantom II is no different, as it was released with some bold color combinations. Furthermore, now women’s cleat features the same technology as men’s. If you’re looking for a top of the line cleat, you don’t need to wear a men’s cleat.
Fit and Feel
Shortly after wearing them on, the first difference you will notice will be the feel of the Dynamic Fit Collar. The Hypervenom II hugged by ankle and Achilles much more smoothly as the asymmetrical seam runs down the posterior of the collar. The idea behind this off-center seam is to line up more naturally with the Achilles tendon. The fit of the upper is truly extraordinary. Your foot will never feel an interior of a cleat so comfortable, completely seamless; it will be a barefoot sensation like no other. The other thing to note, besides the wicked spider-influenced pattern on the outsole was the carefully crafted upper.
The Nike designers analyzed the natural flex grooves of the foot and incorporated countless ridges. This is great for agility, allowing your foot to turn, cut, and explode in directions as it would naturally. Flywire cables are inside of the upper that locks your foot in the cleat. Moreover, it will minimize any amount of slippage inside the cleat.
The first thing you will notice is that the upper of the cleat is made up of two layers. Flyknit material accompanied by NikeSkin and Magwire is laid out on top. It is amazing how many technologies are combined in a single upper to give such a remarkable barefoot feeling. While Magista has had a real touch, the Hypervenom IIs offers an upgrade to it. The Tuned Touch design provides enough texture and grip to keep your touch as close and accurate as possible.
As seen in first-generation of Hypervenoms, the outsole has a split-toe design as well as bladed/conical hybrid stud configuration. It provides proper acceleration and traction. The outsole is of a soft enough material. Furthermore, It is compound to flex with my midfoot and forefoot while remaining sturdy in the posterior to maintain stability in the heel.
Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about the new Phantom cleats. Nike Women’s Hypervenom Phantom II is great for speed, agility, and players playing in attacking positions. I would even wear these as a defender because being quick is important for every player on the ground. An incredible amount of time, research and resources have gone into the production of this astonishing piece of the cleat. These cleats run true to size so do not make a mistake of getting a size greater or smaller Moreover, in terms of performance, I can say that this cleat lives up to the hype.
